Reward innovative solutions that meet the need for furniture, promote the circular economy and reduce the overall climate and environmental impact.
Formulation of the Award Criteria:
Tendered solutions which in an innovative way meet the need in question, promote the circular economy and/or minimise the overall climate and environmental impact should be rewarded.
‘Innovation’ is defined as per Section 4-5(h) of the Procurement Regulations (Anskaffelsesforskriften). The contracting authority's assessment of solutions will also be based on the Guidance for green and circular procurements of furniture, and the descriptions provided here of the need for a circular economy and reduced climate and environmental impact associated with furniture procurements.

Information about the Award Criteria:
This criterion is intended to reward innovative solutions which help to achieve the goal of promoting the circular economy and minimising the environmental impact. ‘Innovation’ is defined as per Section 4-5(h) of the Procurement Regulations (Anskaffelsesforskriften). The contracting authority's assessment of solutions will also be based on the Guidance for sustainable consumption through green and circular procurements of furniture, and the descriptions provided here of the need for a circular economy and climate and environmental impacts associated with furniture procurements. The solutions must also be assessed against other needs which are not linked to the climate or the environment, as described in the tender documentation.
An open criterion like this will ensure that holistic, innovative solutions are not excluded as a result of only rewarding specific environmental properties.
